The 13.3 inch variant weighs 1.28kg (2.82 pounds) while the 12.2 inch variant weighs at 1.07kg (2.36 pounds). Another notable thing is that none of the two Mi Notebooks have a logo on the exterior, reason being that the laptops are said to be manufactured by a Chinese company Tian Mi.
Xiaomi, famous for it's competitive prices and taking of bigwigs like Samsung in mobile market, this time also kept it's price lower than others. The bigger mi notebook air is priced at around CNY 4,999 ($750) while the smaller one will be sold at CNY 3,499 (around $525). Both laptops will be available for purchase at Xiaomi's site from 2 August, 2016
.
With similar looks to Apple's MacBook Air, Xiaomi seems to be ready to take off. On papers it is beating Apple but the actual truth will be out when Xiaomi will start selling it's laptops and the winner will be crowned by the actual performance.
It will be very early to crown Xiaomi as the winner but with its entry in laptop segment it already alerted the BigBrands like Apple, Dell, etc.
So will the PC market also see major price war like mobile phone segment? will Xiaomi be able to beat the most valuable brand? I don't know. Let's wait and watch.
Stay tuned with us.
