Your windows 10 desktop or laptop lost network connectivity suddenly, showing limited connectivity, using skype or netflix and having slow speed or frequent disconnections, then you should try this guide. In this guide, I will show you
how to fix the windows 10 limited connectivity issue on wireless or wired network. The guide also works for windows 8.1 PC most of the time.
First of all,
I will recommend you to install the network adapter driver again and reconnecting the adapter. Also, it can be the firewall or antivirus program, try allowing internet traffic and IP address in through the firewall.
Why my computer is not connecting to internet ?
The windows 10 internet connection problem is due to a problem with IP stack or IP address. to solve the internet connection problem you have to reset the TCP/IP stack to the default value.
To do so try the following steps
FIX no 1
- Press "window key+R" to open the Run.
- Type "cmd" and press enter.(this will open command prompt)
- Type the following commands-
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
4. Reboot the computer.
The first command will reset the WINSOCK entries to the default, while the second command will reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults.
NOTE: If the above-given commands didn't resolve your connectivity problem and internet connection problem still persists then try the step 5 and further they can also increase the internet speed
The above-given commands will also remove any persistent static route entries from the windows 10 PC. You can add those static routes again by using the "route add" command.
Want more speed or the previous method don't work :
5. Again open command prompt
6. Add these commands
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
These commands will fix the windows 10 limited connectivity wifi and not getting IP from DHCP and can fairly make internet faster in windows 10 / windows 8 /windows 7
Still not fixed....
Although internet connectivity problems can be due to many reasons, it might be the faulty adapter, faulty adapter drivers or can be a botched up windows upgrade by Microsoft but the above solution will most probably solve your limited connectivity problem in windows 10 and windows 8.1.
Any other update problem then try this >
