Gionee M2017: Phone with 7000 mAh battery 

Gionee has launched the Gionee M2017 in China. The biggest USP of the device is its battery, a massive 7000 mAh. It's a luxury smartphone having some impressive specs with an “elegant” and fresh design.

Many Luxury Smartphone makers just wrap simple devices in top-notch material and sell those mobiles as some high-end devices. Gionee however, is trying something new, it’s giving a premium mobile at a premium price.

Gionee M2017 specifications

Gionee just launched the M2107, the phone features a metal and leather body having a 5.7-inch screen. The phones top selling point is the huge 7000 mAh battery with 6 GB RAM.

The phone comes with two different storage options, 128 GB and 256 GB. The phone features a fingerprint sensor in the front.

The battery capacity and the looks are a head-turner while it’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset is a big head-scratcher.

The phone features curved edges 5.7-inch QHD AMOLED Saffire display having 581ppi, a front 8-megapixel camera and dual camera(12MP and 13MP) in the rear having an iPhone 7 plus style 2Xoptical zoom. Another cue from Apple iPhone 7 is the removal of the 3.5mm jack.

Apart from that, it will have all the general features like dual sim, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS & wifi.

7000 mAh battery

The Chinese smartphone maker estimates a talk time of 32 hours, 26 hours of non-stop video that's enough to sail through the day.

The phone could be the complete package if it featured a Snapdragon 821 chipset although 653 isn’t bad but its too weak for the luxury section even Redmi Note 4 features it. Also, the smartphone is damn heavy, a 238g mobile.

The Gionee M2017 will run Amigo 3.5 skin on top of Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box.

Cost of Latest Gionee

The M2017 will go on sale on 6th January 2017 in China. The price of mobile is also premium. It will cost RMB 6,999(about $1007  or 68,500 INR) for 128 GB edition and RMB 16,999 (about $2,446 or 1,66,000 INR) having Italian Alligator leather back.

Gionee is trying to change its image and wooing high-roller customers and emerging as a premium smartphone maker, carving it’s way in countries like United states and Canada.
